More excellent instruction from Shawn Clement
I can control the curvature of my ball pretty well for a guy who doesn’t play as much golf as he would like, but I struggle with hitting the ball solidly on a consistent basis. If I can’t hit the ball solid, then why worry about how the ball is curving? The videos below really clicked for me over the weekend. The 2nd video emphasizes bracing against the left side, and after working on it over the weekend, I was really puring all the irons in my bag. My swing arc moved further in front of the ball, and I hit with about as much power as I’m capable of. I still have a lot of practice ahead of me, but I’ve been searching for more consistently solid contact, and Shawn’s video really provided me with the missing link. Hopefully you’ll get something out of them too.
Enjoy!
